Work Wales are working with a prestigious client based in the Port Talbot area.
We are currently looking to recruit a Rod Processor on a full-time basis. This role is temporary in the first instance, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Purpose:
To work as a skilled member of the team processing cast material
Hours:
39 Hours per weekSkills:
* Weigh Accurately
* Measuring Accurately
* Operate machinery
* Ability to lift up to 20kgs safely* Complete paperwork accurately
* Work for periods without supervision
* Work effectively within a team
* Following safeworking practices
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Cutting rod with saw - length check
* Deburring
* Straightening rod Straightness roll test
* Weighing, Cleaning, Spraying and bundling of rod
* Monitoring extraction bins
Further duties which may arise due to changing of work patterns, procedures or covering colleague's absence, as instructed by teamleader or manager.
