Areyou an experienced Service Engineer with a background in Photonics?
My client is looking for a Service and Support Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team.
In this role you will be involved at all stages of the service and support processes including, installation at customer sites, remote customer support and travel to customers to repair or upgrade instruments.
There are two distinct aspects of this role;
* Initial 6-month training period including instrument assembly and testing involving optical alignment
* Being part of the service team, supporting customer base with technical expertise while optimizing serviceability and usability.
Ideally you will have a background covering both optical instrumentation as well as a familiaritywith academia and at least 3 years experience in industry.
In addition to this you will have the ability to translate product technical details into effective service instructions and experience in resolving technical issues in electronics, optics andsoftware. Previous experience of service and support of scientific instrumentation and optical alignment using laser systems ishighly desirable.

In return you will receive a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 - proportionate to experience, 5% company pension contribution, 25 days annual leave and comprehensive employee insurances (private medical, life assurance,critical illness and income protection).
