Our client, a medical device manufacturer have a requirement for an experienced Toolmaker to join their team.
Permanent, days only role.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
* Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tools as scheduled
* Inspect all components to print tolerance
* Responsible for Jigs &Fixture manufacture, maintenance on the injection moulding ancillary equipment in conjunction with the machine supplier
* Understand and perform qualitystandards, methods, usage of toolroom inspection equipment, and reporting as required
* Serve as a good role model to co-workers for safe work practices and behaviour by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safetyof others
* Perform any other miscellaneous duties assigned
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in an injection mouldmaking/maintenance environment
* Previous experience in the manufacturing, maintenance, or repair of the following: Multi-cavity Moulds, Valve Gate Moulds, Hot Runner Moulds
* Toolmaking qualification with time served working with a Toolmaker in the production
* A background working on technically challenging applications such as medical or tight tolerance work is highly desirable
* Milling, turning, grinding, sparking, and fitting experience
* Knowledge of hydraulics and Pneumatics' would be anadvantage
* Ability to read and understand blueprints
* Must be a highly motivated, results driven, flexible individual whois able to work well with others
* Ability to work from verbal instructions under minimal supervision
* Ability to meet physical demands; pushing pulling, bending, lifting upwards of 22kg and standing for long periods
