CHANGE PROGRAMME LEAD



First City domiciliary care company provides support to more than 500 people in the Swindon area and is currently rated as "outstanding" by the Care Quality Commission. We are implementing a wide ranging change programme and are seeking to appoint an individual who is able to assist us with this. You will have knowledge of the social care and health sector, have experience of managing a change programme and meeting deadlines and have excellent communication skills. You will be able to motivate and support staff to ensure timely delivery of the 20+ work streams and to make regular reports to senior managers.



We are seeking to appoint someone for one year so this post may suit a recent graduate seeking to gather experience in health and social care and programme management.

Based at First City House Swindon, reporting to the Transition Manager the successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment keeping abreast of the latest trends in healthcare. Experience of delivering culture change and transformation in healthcare is essential. The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator with a solid track record of delivering transformative projects and experience working in complex and evolving environments. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in healthand social care.

Main purpose of the role

This role is to ensure that a consistent and structured approach is taken to Business Change within First City Projects, and that they coordinate in order to maximise success through applying business changeprinciples and sharing good practice, whilst ensuring the project key KPIs of quality, scope are met.

Key accountabilities /responsibilities

* Maintain First City's Business Change model and principles in order to effectively coordinate activitiesthrough to end delivery and ensure they are agreed with the Transition Manager and CEO.
* Maintain the high level communications plan for the Projects.
* Ensure business change plans are aligned to project plans and any conflicts are escalated to the relevant management teams with an assessment of impact for business change items.
* Ensure that there is a smooth and seamlesstransition of the Project's outputs into the Business as Usual environment using transition and operational readiness plans andtechniques. Monitor at the detail level that business change activities and support are being implemented in First City and report back to the Transition Manager.
* Control and manage delivery of quality of business change.
* Maintain the appropriate Business Change control mechanisms including Risks and ensure common approaches are taken to control and minimise impacts.
* Take accountability for capturing good practice and ensuring it is embedded in the lessons learned.
* Escalate to the managementany risks or issues which may have a significant impact on delivery.
* Take accountability for controlling change and requirements relating to business change, ensuring that scope creep is prevented, business change activities stay in line with plans and that any deviations are forecasted and mitigated as a group.
* Escalate, as appropriate, barriers to successful delivery ofbusiness change or necessary changes, to the appropriate Management Team.
* Engage and manage key Project Leads using management techniques, personal engagement and support.

* Accountable for Business Change across the programmes, ensure that First City's interests are represented and protected. Ensure that there is a spirit of collaborative working whilst ensuring that the Project Leads deliver their commitments
* Inspire and lead the approach to business change, provide clear roles and responsibilities.
* Provide regular highlight reports ensuring that key information is expressed clearly to Project Leads in a language they understand. Ensure that the information flows from and to Delivery, Management is effective and appropriate
* Exceptionally skilled in negotiating and balancing business change requirements against project constraints & conflicts so that all parties feel as they have a positive outcome.
* Use problem solving skills and techniques to provide appropriate solutions to Project challenges.
* Knowledge of business change process and principles, basic qualification in business change
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills as well as being able to communicate at all levels.
* Proven experience of delivering change in a complex business environment
* Strong service orientation, with a flexible can-do approach
