Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychiatry of Old Age
Due to an expansionof services, a new post has been created for a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Psychiatry of Old Age based in Donegal.This role involves providing Consultant Psychiatry services to the over 65 population of the Donegal Mental Health Services -a total population of approximately 23,337 (2016 census) with 2 full time Consultant posts working collaboratively in the Sectorteams.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in The Psychiatry of Old Age Team, you will be supported by a team of professionals including;
* Senior House Officers,
* Assistant Director of Nursing,
* Advanced Nurse Practitioner Dementia Care
* Community Mental Health Nurses
* Social Worker
* Occupational Therapist
* Psychologist
The service is progressivewith strong future goals and opportunities for academic links and research projects.
Covering 6 beds on site at the hospitalsite and a number of satellite clinics, the successful Consultant will need a drivers licence and access to a car.
