My client is currently recruiting for a successful Health and Safety Manager to join their well respected educational travel company in East Sussex. This role is on a PART timebasis, of 2 days a week. My client is well known in the educational travel sector, and have created a reputable, well-respectedname for themselves.
Health & Safety requirements are massive part of the educational travel business and as such it's imperative they are kept up to date. The ideal candidate will follow strict guidelines of the School Travel Forum and Council forLearning Outside the Classroom guidelines. As the company grows they are looking for a tenacious individual to keep things on track and keep on top of the ever growing Health & Safety requirements of the business.
Your next role:
*Running regularaudits report and making sure all audits & processes are up to date
*Making sure every trip is H&S checked before travelling
*Liaise with suppliers to make sure all our audits and H&S information is up to date in a timely manner
*Checkingeach itinerary in detail
*Keeping up to date with the latest STF updates & requirements
*Following the merge of two companies we need to be able to merge both companies H&S requirements in to one.
*Make sure everything we receive back is checked, verified, signed off and filed correctly.
*Checking each and every itinerary in detail that is travelling for quality control as well as H&S
*Running regular reports and keeping up to date with hotel audits, contracts, coach audits, agent contracts etc.
*Provide staff with correct and effective training
*Regular reviews of the SMS, Safeguarding policy and Environmentpolicy
A bit about yourself:
*Excellent admin skills along with excellent communication skills with both colleagues &suppliers
*Self-motivation, drive and a determination to get the job done, plus the ability to cope calmly when a problem arises.
*Willingness to cope under pressure and busier times of the year
*Organised and be able to work efficiently on their own as well as in a team.
*Knowledge of worldwide destinations desirable but not essential to the role.
*Eye for detail
