We would like to invite applications from Doctors with a strong interest and experience in General Surgery / Orthopaedics and Obstetrics and Gynaecology to apply for an SHO level position in Public Hospitals all across Ireland for the January 2020 rotation.
The SHO is responsible for providing frontline and hands-on care for a wide variety of patients within the department. The SHO is responsible for diagnosing and treating patients and ensuring that duties and functions are undertaken in a manner that prioritisesthe safety and wellbeing of patients. On-call duties are required for SHO's which allow the individuals to take full responsibility and gain valuable experience in their speciality.
Taking on this position enables a highly motivated experienced medicalprofessional to develop new skills and to apply their extensive knowledge in a challenging but worthwhile and exciting environment.
Essential Requirements:
* IMC registration or in the process of registering with IMC
* Excellent English skills (IELTS certificate with an overall band score of 7.0 and a minimum of 6.5 in each subsection OR OET certificate with an overall band score of B and a minimum score B in each subsection)
* Relevant qualifications
* 5+ years of relevant experience
* Previous research in clinical specialities with several publications
* Irish or UK experience desirable
Ideal candidates willbe in the process of or have completed relevant Membership Exams such as
MRCS - For Surgery positions
OR
MRCOG - ForObstetrics & Gynaecology positions
