Panoramic Associates are currently working with a North West Health and Social Care Partnership to recruit a Consultant in Public Health for a part time 3 month contract to make a start mid-January.
As the Consultant in Public Health you will provision leadership and advice within the partnership. The focus is on healthcare public health, including Screening & Immunisation, NHS Health Checks, the Lung Health Checks Programme and Pathway development to embed a preventative approach across healthcare services. The Consultant will provide a professional accountability route and managerial support to a Senior Nurse Consultant, who manages the embedded Screening & immunisation Team.
Role requirements:
* An experienced Consultant in Public Health who is confident in a political context, managing complex and multiple partnerships
* A good understanding of the technical and operational aspects of NHS Public Health Commissioning (section 7A arrangements) including Screening and immunisation and ability to provide expert public health advice to commissioners of relevant programmes
* A good understanding of the NHS Long Term Plan and NHSE&I policy context
* An appreciation of the unique nature of the Partnership devolved arrangements and how this may impact on the role
