National Account Manager (UK)

Location: Lancing, West Sussex

Salary: £40,000+ Per Annum DOE

Position: Permanent, Full Time

Reports to: Sales Director

Fizz Creations designs, manufactures and supplies Novelty Gift products to most major retailers in the UK and abroad. Operating from a new purpose built warehouse in Lancing, West Sussex with 80 staff, and operating a support office in HK, Fizz is a very fast growing and well respected company with a wide and ever changing portfolio of products. We are seeking a National Account Manager to be responsible for maintaining and developing existing customer accounts by providing high levels of customer service, appropriate propositions and sustain continuous close communication with buyers and other personnel at appointed customers and extensive and effective liaison with internal contacts to achieve agreed annual sales targets.  Responsible also, for the prospecting and development of new accounts. 

Responsibilities - National Account Manager

The Account Executive will be responsible for the customer service and administration associated with major accounts to which they have been assigned. The duties will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Maintain close contact and strong professional relationships with buyers and associated relevant personnel within customer accounts to ensure maximisation of sales potential with appropriate product and service;
  • Represent the company and its product range at gift fairs, trade shows and customer meetings both in the UK and overseas ensuring specific seasonal events and dates are targeted;
  • Ensure the sales procedure is adhered to and a Critical Path created and followed in conjunction with Purchasing and Logistics for all customer product orders.
  • Ensure close liaison and involvement with internal departments (i.e. Purchasing and Logistics, New Product Development etc) to guarantee excellent customer service with regard to product specification, packaging, shipping and delivery;
  • Attend relevant internal meetings on a regular basis and prepare and provide information and input, plus ensure all actions are completed within agreed timeline;
  • Set and agree goals and targets with senior management ensuring that these are met
  • Monitor critical paths as required with a minuted major meeting to be held at least once a fortnight and to take action and alert senior management as soon as any key milestones are missed

 

Performance Measures

 

  • Achievement of agreed annual sales target including year on year growth by account
  • Achievement of non-financial targets and objectives
  • Percentage of orders delivered to customers within timeline and budget/margin
