US Sales Manager

Experience: Sales 3+ years

Location: Ringwood, BH24

Position: Permanent, Full Time

 

We are a global designer and supplier of decorative gift tins filled with confectionery, cookies, chocolates and snacks to over 26 countries around the world. We are looking for a Sales Manager to develop and win new business in the US, supplying some of the largest retailers in America.

Based in our UK office in Ringwood, the candidate will be responsible for the entire business development cycle from telephone prospecting, initial contact, quoting, winning and delivering business, through to project management of live orders through to delivery. Expertise in and a passion for cold calling is important, as will closing business by phone and email, as given distance this will be a factor.

There will be some travel required however at various times of the year, so PLEASE NOTE – a willingness to travel is essential.

 

Who we're looking for:

  • A natural and engaging presenter with great people skills, they should have a good grasp of commercials and be skilled and comfortable with excel and the MS Office portfolio. They should be passionate and engaging and possess great sales skills, as well as a fantastic telephone manner.
  • Superb organizational and time management skills and an ability to thrive under pressure and to tight deadlines is a must, as is excellent attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and communication skills will be very important, as will liaising with our UK and HK teams in communicating new business and project requirements once business is won.
  • Given the nature of our design led business, a passion and enthusiasm for great, exciting design concepts is also important. They will also be required to engage with our artroom, briefing them clearly on artwork requirements as well as managing customer feedback with them. Creative input is also valued!
  • The candidate must be independent and driven to hunt new sales day in day out. They must have a track record of sales experience. Knowledge of the US retail landscape is essential, and knowledge of our specific cookie and confectionery industry would be a bonus.
  • The candidate should possess their own means of transport and a clean driving license.
