Warehouse Manager Retail
Main Duties and Responsibilities
*Responsibility for managing and developing direct reporting staff in team of 12+.
* Responsibility for day to day managementof all operational activities involving warehousing, planning, and distribution.
* A good understanding of retail and supplying to a retail group
* To develop a continuous improvement culture that encourages cross-functional collaboration to drive business effectiveness.
* Plan, develop and implement strategy for operational management and development
* Help deliver greateroperational efficiencies, increased profitability, and ensure each employee understands and works towards them.
* Continuously analyse and improve operational systems to ensure consistently high levels of customer service are delivered throughout current and future business growth.
* Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development.
* Review the skill base of the team, identify development opportunities and training needs and put inplace effective solutions.
Role Requirements
* Experience and understanding of the retail trade and warehousing, planning and distribution.
* Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and managing a warehouse team of about 12, to deliver customer satisfaction and meet business performance objectives.
* Planning and organising - someone who organises and schedules events, activities and resources in addition to setting up and monitoring timescales and plans.
* Action orientated - someone who consistently demonstrates a readiness to make decisions, take the initiative and originate action.
* Management - someone who can demonstrate their ability to consistently motivate and empower others in order to reach their goals.
* Team orientatedwith good presentation and communication skills.
* Resilient, tenacious and optimistic with a consistent positive mental attitude.
* Flexible approach to business with good administration and time management.
