Business Development Director - Storage, Backup, Cloud, Managed Services, Cyber Security
My client is an award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Director to their Enterprise team.
The role of the Business Development Director is predominantly (80%) a field based, customer facing sales role, responsible for deep relationship development to deliver margin growth within a number of strategic accounts. The key to success in this role will be the leverageand maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders up to board level. The role requires the ability to use solution and diagnostic sales techniques to sell a wide range of services to deliver measurable business value.
The role carries an annual sales target broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.
Business Development Director Responsibilities
* Proactively identify potential new large, complex and/or strategic IT Services
* Identify and managing a strong pipeline of potential new customers
* Build a short-, medium- and long-term sales pipeline of opportunities to the level required
* Produce and commit to a reliable weekly sales forecast* Promote the ITS value propositions within the customer target portfolio
* Coordinate large, complex and/or strategic tenderresponses
* Own, manage and control the preparation of bids, tenders and RFIs / RFQs, and use allocated resources to ensure that high quality bids are submitted in a timely fashion.
* Work with Pre-sales, Operations, Business support, Finance, Tax & Treasury, HR and IT, to ensure appropriate IT Services solutions are designed and priced
* Prepare solution business cases for approval by senior management
* Prepare and present high quality customer proposals to develop new business
* Identify and creatively resolve barriers to sales in individual opportunities
* Take a lead role in the planning and development of the Account sales strategies
* Develop and action working account plans using the company templates
* Attend Vendor Training andPersonnel Training Courses as requested by Management
