BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - MARKET RESEARCH
CENTRAL LONDON / HYBRID
UP TO £50,000 base + Commission + Great BenefitsTHE COMPANY
We're working with an industry leader with market research who is looking to expand their operation by hiring a highly intelligent, driven and Business Development Manager to join the team.
Over the years they've developed an impressive portfolio of clients from SME's right through to working with some of the biggest businesses in the world.
The successful candidate will need to come from the Market Research industry, have a proven track record within Business Development and be hungryto take on opportunity that will enable them to work across a number of sectors from Tech to Sports, Fashion and Government, just to name a few.
THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER OVERVIEW:
* Responsible for prospecting new leads, setting and leadingnew business meetings, leading proposals and pitches, negotiating and closing sales and onboarding new clients.
* You'll havean annual commercial target to work towards. As you progress, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in management/mentoring.
* Working closely with the marketing team and others in the business to develop ideas for content and initiatives.* Researching and identifying new business opportunities - including new industries, growth areas, clients, new services - ornew ways of reaching existing markets and individuals.
* Seeking out the appropriate contact in an organisation and building professional relationships.
* Uncovering the needs of clients and ability to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
* Thinking strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve waysof working
* Closing sales and managing sales pipelines.
* Writing proposals, leading pitches and negotiating sales.
THEPERSON:
* Experienced Business Development Manager with a track record in the Market Research / Data Insights industry witha consultative sales approach
* Previous cold calling / phone experience is preferable
* Strong organisational skills; ableto prioritise tasks and issues.
* Excellent face to face and written communication skills.
