Job Description - Business Development Manager

Have you been told you could sell ice to a penguin or a heating system to the devil? We want your irresistible charm here at Point of Rental! But here, you’ll be using your powers for good; we care about the hire industry and are looking for people that will do the same. 

Point of Rental provides award-winning software and unrivalled customer service – and it starts with our sales team. As an Account Manager you’ll be learning what customers and potential customers are looking for, and how we can best address those needs. You’ll accomplish this through tailored presentations and demonstrations to existing and prospective customers. You also get the opportunity to help new customers through installations and long-term customer success using you consulting and project management skills.

If you have experience with our software, that’s great, and it’ll put you at a big advantage. If you don’t, but you’re great at connecting with others and have a track record of delighting customers, that’s OK – we’ll train you in the software basics. You bring your desire to help others and we’ll provide you the tools to do it!

Key Responsibilities - Business Development Manager

 

  • Providing online demonstrations to potential and existing customers
  • Upselling our additional features to existing customers
  • Reaching out to cold and warm leads
  • Raising quotes
  • Proactively create new ways to promote / sell our products
  • Work alongside the sales team at exhibitions and trade fairs across the UK and Europe
  • Achieve agreed KPIs and sales targets
  • Keeping up to date with new releases of the software
  • Providing holiday cover for Sales Admin team

 

Key Skills - Business Development Manager

 

  • Excellent communication, planning, time management, prioritisation, and organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Proven sales experience and evidence of consistently achieving KPIs
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow processes
  • Ability and willingness to learn our software systems and the inner workings of the hire industry
