HEAD OF CONFERENCE PRODUCTION
CANARYWHARF, LONDON

THE OPPORTUNITY:My client is a market leading Management Consultancy specialising in Business Development within Life Sciences and Healthcarewho are based in brand new offices in Canary Wharf, London.
The business work with leading emerging-to-large Pharma, Biotechand Academic Institutions worldwide. They are looking for a Head of Conference Production to join them on a full time, permanentbasis. You will be a seasoned Producer and Project Manager, be content driven and enjoy new content strategy.
THE ROLE:You will cultivate an environment in which producers can deliver projects whilst providing leadership, ensuring communication flow, structure and relevant process improvements. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and the necessary experience to seamlessly blend production disciplines across the company.
THE DUTIES:
* Ensure the highest quality output and a culture of respect and professionalism with regards to production and delivery at all levels of the organisation.
* Recruit, manage andoversee a team of Producers.
* Act as escalation point, analysing problems and creating solutions by stepping into a projectat the necessary stage: assessing feasibility at outset, assisting in scoping and setting up delivery.
* Maintain and evolve aset of production criteria as well as facilitate knowledge sharing.
* Track risk across and monitor entire project portfoliofor timely delivery.
* Define the production team structure, evaluate performance and conduct professional development reviewsand goals with the team.
* Evaluate and distill strategic and creative requirements for production approach and support the highest quality execution of it.
* Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to define and advise on presentation, scoping and content of production-related components for pitches
THE PERSON:
* Minimum of two years Head of Production / team management experience.
* Strong commercial experience within conference production
* Creative thinker and problem solver* Content driven
* Ability to spot new trends and implement them in the programme
* Strong research skills and ability toquickly digest new information
* Experience running teams of producers and project managers successfully.
* Ensure effective resource scheduling, workflow and pipeline planning across portfolios.
* Team player who can foster effective partnerships with colleagues across all disciplines.
* Ability to self-manage whilst overseeing teams and projects under tight deadlines.* Highly organized, self-motivated and accountable.
