Our client are recruiting a Head of Purchasing to join their established Procurement function - if you're a Procurement professional, looking to accelerate your career in a manufacturing environment, this could be the job for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Full strategic control over procurement strategy - development and implementation of short, medium and long-term plans
- Management and guidance of established procurement and supply chain function
- Optimisation of stock - Analysis of availability, storage, performance and price
- Build and maintain relationship with new and existing suppliers
- Work cross-functionally toensure efficient business cohesion
- Efficient use of MRP system - Implement cohesion within department
Key Requirements
- Previous experience managing a Purchasing function - ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Autonomous and proactive approach towards purchasing strategy
- Experienced in MRP/ERP implementation
