KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
ALTON, HAMPSHIRE
UP TO £45,000 PER ANNUM + £2000 CARALLOWANCE + BONUS + LUCRATIVE BENEFITS + PROGRESSION
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Due to growth of the business I am currently recruiting for my client based in Alton, Hampshire for a Key Account Manager to join them on a full time, permanent basis.This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a successful and well-established business who are the market leader within their sector. You will be managing 9 key accounts nationally.
You will be focusing on developing existing accounts to enhancethe sales performance and increase revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to identified key customer accounts
* Accountable for the overall satisfaction of the account, and the sales performance to budget
* Forecast product usage based on data tools available and share with demand planner
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships at a strategic level
* Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accountsand customer stakeholders, in conjunction with Business Development Managers, for example procurement, head of safety, site managers
* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products and services according to customer needs and objectives, working with internal teams as required
* Meet face to face with the top key accounts on a quarterly basis to update customer knowledge and promote strong relationships
* Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
* Produce and follow up quotations and tenders
* Ensure CRM data and all contacts are accurate and up todate
* Forecast and track key account metrics on a monthly basis using for example the KPI score card
* Review and updatecustomer catalogues and materials on a quarterly basis on all major accounts to a) ensure users have up to date information foraccurate ordering, and b) manage stock levels / values
* Identify growth opportunities with existing customers and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
* Communicate key account updates and performance to the sales team and widerbusiness
* Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
* Anything else within reason requested by the management team
THE PERSON:
* A proven track record of successfully managing and developing existing accounts* Skilled at building strong relationships
* Able to communicate professionally across multiple levels of business both verbal and written
* Able to manage multiple projects whilst maintaining attention to detail
* Familiar with project managementtechniques to ensure customer-focused solutions are delivered in a timely manner
* An enthusiastic can-do attitude
* Knowledge of sales pipeline and planning techniques; able to qualify leads and close deals
* A business qualification or experiencein other business roles
