THE OPPORTUNITY
My client is a well-established, reputable and expanding company looking to add to their sales team with an experienced Sales Executive based in St Albans. Offering excellent progression and training opportunities, my client highly value their staff and offer excellent incentives and commission.
Primarily the Sales Executive will be following up leads and enquiries, providing prospective customers with product information and quotes, aiming to close sales whilst working towards revenue targets within a fast paced environment.
THE ROLE
* Identifying prospective customers and opportunities
* Making outbound calls from leads and enquiries, presenting and selling company products and services to new clients
* Answering telephone calls from potential customers who respond to our advertisements
* Explaining products or services and prices
* Emailing correspondence to customers to follow up initial sales contacts
* Preparing quotes, proposals and sales contracts in line with internal and supplierprocedures
* Negotiating commercial terms within set guidelines
* Presenting ideas to Sales Manager for developing new sales routes
* Attending monthly meetings (or ad hoc) with the Managing Director and SME Sales Team
* Report monthly new business sales figures to Sales Manager
SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
* Self-motivated and adaptable
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Previous sales experience - ideally B2B
* A natural communicator with excellent negotiation, persuasive, presentation and interpersonal skills at all levels
* Highly driven with enthusiasm to meet sales targets and to cope underpressure
* Trustworthy, professional and reliable when dealing with confidential information
* Proficiency in computer skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and CRM database
