Design and Build Contractor
A leading Cork based construction firm are looking to recruit an Architect to head up their Design and Build department. The ideal candidate will have brought projects from concept to final design stages. Ideally RIAI qualified candidates with experience within commercial, educational and residential builds within the Irish market on full builds both interior and exterior works.
Theaddition of this candidate will aid the firm in securing LEED and BREEAM projects in the greater Cork area and provide an additional level of service to their clients. The ideal candidate will liaise with the design engineering and architectural technologystaff present within the firm to deliver a wide range of projects. They will be able to provide specification solutions in linewith Irish building regulations as required.
This role is suited to:
* A driven Architect who will bring projects from concept to final handover
* Suitably qualified within Architecture and a member of RIAI
* A minimum of 10 years of senior design experience in Ireland or UK
* Excellent knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD/Google Sketchup, Point Clouds, Microsoft suite
* BIM proficient
* Competent in delivery of works throughout the entire lifecycle of a project
* Experience with a widevariety of private and public works such as educational, residential, commercial, industrial and pharmaceutical from 1 to 30m* Experience as a Design Certifier/Assigned Certifier desirable but not essential
* Excellent knowledge of Irish Planning Requirements, Building Regulations and Building Control (Amendment) Regulations, in particular Fire Regulations, NZEB, BER, BCAR
*Experience in monitoring ongoing site construction works
* Candidates with proven management skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Full Clean Driving Licence
