Commercial Director:
We are looking for a Commercial Director who has a proven pedigree workingfor Main Contractors, Residential Developers, Housebuilders or Property Developers overseeing contracts worth £100m+.
In this role, you will report to the board and be a member of the senior operational team by strategically providing direction and leadership to the commercial function of the business. Leading a commercial team of Quantity Surveyors that are responsible for allcost management and procurement of development schemes and projects from early stage feasibility, pre-development, cost planning stages, through the development and construction cycle to successfully deliver high quality and prestigious developments and building projects.
Candidates would operate at either a Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Director or Project Commercial Director level with a background in commercial management, construction and residential development. You may have experience delivering low to medium rise buildings for a main contractor or housebuilder.
Responsibilities:
* Experience of building, motivating & leading commercial teams on major construction projects
* Take responsibility for a projects commercial performance
* Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
* Fully experienced in all aspects of contract administration ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
* Management account preparation and liaisonwith senior management
* Extensive knowledge of main standard forms of contract
* Procurement experience on large value contracts
* Significant experience of claims preparation and dispute avoidance/resolution.
* Be able to assist in Business Development
