McGinley CEP are recruiting for a Document Controller for a 6 monthcontract starting immediately on a Cat B office fit out over 7 floors in Edinburgh city centre, covering 190,000sqft. Our clientis one of the largest and most successful family-owned private construction, development and property services companies in theUK.
Key Accountabilities will include:
Maintain up to date records of all information and ensure that it is available to the team
Issue and distribute controlled copies of information ensuring compliance with all aspects of the design management procedures
Check information on drawings for conformance with status and format agreed
Liaise with designers and specialist suppliers on queries regarding issues of information
Provide training to participants, designers and specialist suppliers on the project on how to use the drawing management system
Troubleshooting any problems to do with the drawing managementsystem and peripherals
Provide advice and feedback on procedures of issue and methods in accessing / using the systems
Use document management and other management/collaboration tools as necessary to meet project requirements
Inhouse document control system SharePoint and Viewpoint
To be successful in this role you will have a keen eye for detail with exceptionalorganisational skills along with the ability to work effectively in a team.
