We are recruiting for a leading construction consultancy looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team!





Job Title - Electrical EngineerArea/Location - North Tyneside

Type of Job - Permanent

Salary - £35000Purpose of the Role-

We are currently looking to recruit an Electrical Building Services Engineer in either the NE/NW of England or Southern Scotland. The successful candidates will join long established multi-disciplinary teams and work alongside other engineers, surveyors and more senior professionals.

The workload will be varied and will cover both public & privatesectors. Our strong pipeline of work is based upon repeat basis combined with new wins, with our strength being the support of our Health, Education & Local Government clients.







A Few Key Responsibilities of the Role-

* The Electrical Engineer will lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the client and senior colleagues
* Establish & maintain client relationships
* Carry out site surveys (including compliance, condition & defect analysis)
* Prepare reports (including remedial works, life cycle & cost data)
* Review and comment on 'As Built' data
* Carry out design and specification work and preparing tender information
* Administering building contracts (JCT &/or NEC)
* Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work (including Condition Surveys, Specific Defect Analysis, PW work, dilapidations, Access Audits& FRA's)
* Liaise with Clients, Contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
* Assist senior team memberswith project finances, recruitment, and mentoring.

Essential Experienceof the Role-

* Degree in Building Services, HND/HNC or equivalent
* MIET, ACIBSE or equivalent
* Minimum 2 years' postqualification experience of advising on commercial properties either in public or private sector
* Ability to establish a goodworking relationship with Clients and colleagues
* Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
* Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
* Good AutoCAD and/or REVIT skills
* Working knowledge of design tools such as Amtec, Relux or similar
* Excellent understanding of current regulations, CIBSE guides and their implication for design/maintenance of buildings
* Good written & verbal communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Ability to demonstrate flexible approachto work and willingness to travel/stay away from home for short periods as may be required
* Team player
