Estimator - Concrete Frames & Groundworks (Main Contractor exp considered)
Salary: £60,000 - £100,000 (Salary Neg) + packageLocation: Enfield, North London
Our client is a specialist in providing groundworks services, reinforced concrete sub-structures and superstructures to the UK construction industry.
They are currently looking for a Groundworks and RC Frame Estimator. The potential candidate will need to be an experienced Estimator who has been established in the industry working predominantly with subcontractors. Ideally, they are looking for a candidate with a Civils, groundworks or concrete frame background.
The candidate will need to work well under pressure, be confident managing their own workload, liaising with clients and take full ownership of all bids within the department, from inception to completion. A large majority of their bids will require measurement and preparation of bills, building up rates from first principles.
The role will be office based witha requirement to attend client meeting and carry out site visits where necessary.
The Role
Responsible for preparation of Tender submissions for Groundworks and RC Frame projects
Analyse subcontract, material and plant for best and completevalue
Attend mid and post tender interviews
Cost planning
Measuring & 'Quantity Take-Off'
Produce price & final summary for review
Any other duties as may be required.
Experience/ Key Skills
Preferably degree qualified inQuantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or equivalent
Ideally experienced in using CAD measuring systems
Sound commercialacumen
A confident communicator with all members of staff; a team player. You must have excellent interpersonal skills; maintain good working relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers and have a personable character
Excellent organisational skills and ability to adhere to strict deadlines on a daily & weekly basis
