Title - Fire Safety Surveyor
Location - Bristol
Salary -£35k to £45k

Purpose.
This role is a field-based surveyor's role providing technical support and specification across our clients workstreams as well as working closely with the wider Property Safety team and other departments.
Youwill be reporting to the Fire Safety Manager in the first instance and if required dealing with any queries from the Head of Property Safety.
Responsibilities

You will lead on from the fire risk assessment process and/or other processes, visit, inspect and provide detailed specification for fire remedial works and complete post inspections once these tasks are completed.

Specify and manage fire safety improvement works, close fire risk assessment recommendation and improve safety.
*Provide project management services for any Fire projects assigned to Fire Safety Surveyor. Ensuring all relevant parties are working in-line with the project deadlines and relevant standards.

Provide an efficient and effective reactive fire safety surveyor service, particularly when building safety has been compromised by others, or as a result of intervention from the emergency services. Raise work orders and liaise with others to ensure all urgent works are delivered swiftly to bring the building (or area) back to a tolerable level of risk.

Experience
*
Have proven experience in social housing, and an understanding of converted town houses and specialist housing.

Have an industry recognised formal fire safety qualification (level 3 minimum)
*
Be able to demonstrate detailed work orders including. specification & materials, also drawings.
*
Have a sound knowledge of UK fire safety guidance and benchmark standards for existing buildings
*
Have an awareness of futurechanges in fire safety leading on from the Hackitt/Grenfell Enquiry/Building Safety Bill/Fire Safety Bill
