Job Title : Grounds Operative
Location : Surrey
The Surrey and Borders Contract are urgently looking for two 'Grounds Persons' in the Surrey area, do you have any candidates available?
Details:
* Covers 24 locations in Surrey
* Head Office in West Park, Epsom; Parking and welfare facilities
* Must have clean driving license, ideally with trailer license
* Will be given vehicle to use
* Clear schedules to follow
* Must have experience, this role is more Royal Parks than Hampton Court Flower Show - JD attached

Responsibilities include:
*
To undertake various grounds maintenance tasks in line with agreed schedule of works including, but not limited to, cutting of grassed areas, weeding of beds & planters, watering and cutting back of hedges/bushes.
*
Provide reactive grounds maintenance tasks as and when required to ensure the clients premises are always kept presentable.
*
During periods of poor weather, ensure that the grounds are kept safe for building users, including the clearance of snow & ice and gritting.
*
Maintain & train for qualifications, and up-to-date trade knowledge, as may be required for the safe and efficient performance of duties.
*
To ensurethat all tasks completed are documented and accurate records maintained, including any statutory records required.

To comply with the Company's Policies, Management Plans and Procedures.
*
To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans.
* To supportthe Company's Quality Policy Statement and actively participate in the achievement of Company and personal Quality objectives.* To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description.
*The ideal candidate will:
* Be in general good health & fitness.
* Be able to manage their own workload, prioritisetasks and be able to work independently.
* Have previous experience/knowledge of routine grounds maintenance tasks.
* Haveprofessional trade qualifications.
* Have basic Handyman skills.
