Title - Head of Property Safety
Location - Bristol
Salary - £63k - £70k
Our client, a large local Housing association requires a Head of Property to lead on all property safety and compliance matters. Specific responsibilities include confirming requirements, ensuring high quality and reliable data, putting in place and managing robust contract management arrangements, and completion of all remedial actions
With a healthy existing stock, our client is also delivering on an ambitious development programme, which will see the need for ongoing compliance and Safety support.
Responsibilities
* Work tirelessly towards becoming best insector for Property Safety.
* Provide leadership on the development and delivery of the company's strategic approach to the effective management of property related compliance activities (asbestos, gas, fire, water, electrical and mechanical safety).* Ensure the Property Safety function provides a customer centric service.
* Lead from the front in your approach to PropertySafety within the business, acting as the primary source of compliance advice and guidance to colleagues across the whole business.
* Provide information necessary to support the delivery of property related works across the business
* Be responsible for the effective procurement, delivery and management of all compliance related contracts including servicing and remedial actions, with high levels of performance against contract KPIs.
Experience
* Hold a relevant professional qualification/haveproven experience which evidences the appropriate calibre for this leadership post.
* Evidence professional/specialist technical skills relating to Landlord Compliance, demonstrating a detailed knowledge of the most current legislation and ACOP's
* Evidence a sound understanding and full compliance with the legal, regulatory and inspection frameworks governing services providedby the company.
* Lead on business planning, risk management and manage substantial budgets successfully.
* Demonstrable experience in actively managing a team to achieve corporate business plans and objectives.
* Evidence significant experience ofrisk management and its application in a performance management setting
