Managing Quantity Surveyor - Major Infrastructure - EastMidlands
£375 - £425 per day
I have a requirement for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work for one of the largest construction companies in the UK on a major infrastructure project in the East Midlands. The role is working for a huge tier 1 contractor who are looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee a team of 10+ Quantity Surveyors with the day to day dutiesof change management, compensation events, forecasting and other post contract NEC contract management. My client ideally wouldlike a MQS who has worked in this role before, however would look at a Senior QS ready to step up into the role.
This project has 2+ years left to run so is an excellent opportunity for long term freelance work and to gain experience with a huge tier 1 contractor with work right across the UK
In order to qualify for this role you must have:
* Experience workingas a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure schemes
* Experience working for contractors
* Experienced managing ateam of QS's or the desire to do so
* Experience working with NEC forms of contract
* Change management, comp events, forecasting.
