Plant Hire Coordinator / Plant Hire Controller

Location: London - Waterloo (head office) / Sites

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Rate: £15.00 - £20.00 DOE



One of the countries' leading construction companies specialising in residential and education projects is recruiting for a Plant Hire Coordinator / Plant Hire Controller to assist with the technical review and hiring of plant and other equipment for construction projects across London and the UK. This role will require travel across sites spanning between Brighton and Cambridge



Job Purpose and key tasks:

Define what size and type of machines requires for the work to be completed in a best possible and safe way; based on the information received on online request platform, site surveys and possibly phone calls from site. The machines include: Excavator & Breaker, Telehandler & Forklifts including accessories, Boom lifts, Scissor lifts, Mobile Concrete Pumps, Dumper, Rollers, Transport Vehicles (exceptLorry loader), Site Welfares cabins individual unit and Plant: Truck Mounted Boom lifts, Mobile cranes, Crawler Cranes, MobileTower Cranes, Spider Cranes, Lorry Loaders (Hiab), Mast Climbers, Hoists, Temporary suspended platforms (Cradles), Site Welfarecabins full set up, Canti decks



ISSUE HIRE & SERVICE AGREEMNT (Plant hire ordering software) - Communicate with agreed supply chains, issue hire & service agreement and conform the delivery date and time.



LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT- Sitesurvey to decide the best possible plant hire solution (plant technical experience requires), organise plant & machinery delivery, internal movement, collection and follow up.



MAINTENANCE - Organise, follow up and record all hire plant routine,breakdown and wear & tear maintenance through hire company. Record all breakdowns and prepare KPI and regular reporting toline manager.



PLANT WEB PORTAL - Update and monitor the plant web portal for hire request, order confirmation, delivery,training, breakdown follow up, off hire, collection, damage follow up and record



PLANT TECHNICAL LIBRARY - Add any newplant specification and regular update of plant technical library.



SUPPLY CHAIN - Review recent quotes form approved supply chains, price comparison including supplier technical review, provide company updated plant and health & safety plant minimum standards, plant hire terms and condition. Documents regular update form supply chains (e.g. Insurance certificate, bank records, CIS status etc.). Regular update of supplier list and contact.



DISCREPANCY MANAGEMENT - Match and process an external hire invoices on SAP & Plant invoicing software Hermes & Pegaz (Cost controlling).
