Project Manager (Internals);

A fantastic permanent job-opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager, to join a respected & highly desirable employer. The employer is an award-winning UK-based residential developer,with an unsurpassed reputation in the construction industry. They are looking for an experienced candidate to work on a flagship major project in London.



The role will suit an individual who is looking to enter an exciting project in its early stages, who can have a real impact in its successful running, with industry-leading career development opportunities.



The Project:

Major mixed-use development in London, comprising construction of over 1300 residential units and significant commercial / retail offerings. Total project value is circa £700m, with a build-programme of 7 years.



Project Manager (Externals / Civils):

Summary of role;

- Site logistics with both development of strategy and execution on site

- Basement and remediation

- Civils and structural work

- Façade works

- S278 work

- Hard and soft landscaping phasing

- BathroomPod installation - development of order and strategy

- Liaise with fit out and M&E Project Managers to help drive and ensure delivery

- Sales and Marketing Suite Delivery

- Get involved with Fit Out and M&E strategy as required

- Worksclosely with Construction Director and MEP Project Manager

- Assist with building team to plan and deliver the above

- Going forward the role may involve leading of fit out works depending on work-load, with

team in place to deliver 4 units per week from Summer 2020



Duties:

- Help, encourage and develop individuals within the team

- Lead by example

- Works closely with and report to the Construction Director to ensure optimum results

- Works closely with MEP Project Manager, commercial, technical, H&S and other departments with aim of achieving best co-ordinated approach

- Be the driving force ensuring programme is considered at all stages and through departments

- Work closely with and build relationships with Contractors, Consultants and other

- Liaise with other stakeholders

- Contribute and add value at all stages from design throughdelivery either directly or through

team by;

- Working closely with and contributing to design to add value and ensure buildability

- Work closely with and contribute to commercial team discussions to add value and

ensure buildability

- Liaise with local authority, TFL, local resident groups as required

- Ensure H&S, sustainability and other procedures are complied with and project team strive

for excellent results in these areas

- Ensure efficient and professional management ofpackages through the build process directly or through your team

- Ensure build quality and QA system in place and consistently followed throughout t

- Regular reporting and progress update to Construction and Project Director

- Challenge and develop methodology and sequence to ensure optimum result for the project

- Be a positive influence and presence throughout site- Ensure good communication and transparency across team

- Continuous progress reporting systems

- Be conscious of budgets and strive for best value solutions



Requirements:

- 10 plus years' experience in the industry preferable

- Experience of running logistics of a site beneficial

- Engineering background desirable but not essential

- IT skills to a level to allow ability to;

- Deliver professional reports

- Understand, audit and improve QA process

- Understand drawings

- Communicate effectively to Senior Company Management

- Good with management process with desire to review and improve- Good team player and willing to get stuck in where required

- Firm and fair with own team

- Act as line manager andmentor to a number of staff and with aim to mentor, help and improve

- Able to build good working relationships with Contractors, Consultants, local authorities etc - SMSTS qualified

- First Aid

- Good base knowledge for health and safety with ability to deliver with efficiently while still considering H&S

- Ability to look and plan ahead

- Commercially aware- Good technical knowledge and base

- Liaise and build relationships with Warranty Providers and Quality checkers
