A leading well established PQS firm are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Waterford based role. This quantity surveyor will be working along on a wide range of projects in the South East in Waterford, Kilkenny and Wexford. Ideally they will have a PQS or polished background with business development experience.
This role will ultimately lead to a management position. It is an ideal role for someonewho wants to be permanently based in Waterford with a reputable firm.
The ideal candidate will fulfil the following criteria:* Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management/Property Economics/Engineering or relevant post graduate studies.
* 6 years experience within a Quantity Surveyor role
* Experience with PQS or client facing organisations preferred* Contractor backgrounds will be considered depending on the candidate profile
* Happy to work in office based environment* Keen to work on a wide range of projects from residential, public bodies, commercial and manufacturing projects
* Experiencewith Cost Management essential
* Bank Monitoring and Risk Management with feasibility studies an added bonus
* Located in Waterford, South Kilkenny, Wexford, South Tipperary or looking to relocate to on a permanent basis
* Experience within the Irish market an advantage but not a limiting factor
* IT Savvy with Buildsoft cubit
* Keen to progress to management level
* Excellent reporting and communication skills
* Keen to mentor staff
