A leading Tier 1 contractor is looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Waterford based role. The ideal candidate will have 10 years experience within the built environment. Experience with construction ofresidential, medical, education or civil engineering an added plus. Ideally located in Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Laois or Tipperary. The firm are currently entering a 5 year project and have a permanent team in the south east. This role can offer longterm career aspects in the South East for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will fulfil the following criteria:
* Third Level qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or Construction Management
* 10+ years experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects ideally residential or medical
* Proven ability to work on large scale projectswith high headcount
* Deal with sub-contractors effectively
* Excellent time management skills
* Has worked on all aspectsof quantity surveying from tender to final accounts
* Has extensive build experience within the construction industry
* Familiarity with cost management software
* Happy to manage all aspects of quantity surveying under a commercial manager
* Keento work on projects in the South East
* Excellent work ethic
* Looking for career development
