A leading Galway based contractor is looking to recruit an experienced safety officer fora Galway based role. The ideal candidate will have worked on construction sites in the past. Preferably within commercial, build and pharma projects.
The candidate will work alongside a team of experienced and highly skilled professionals. It is an ideal role for those who are keen to progress to Senior Management and develop within Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety.
The ideal candidate will fulfil the following criteria;
* Relevant QEHS Qualification
* Level 6 upwards in Safety
* Up todate Safe Pass
* Has worked on construction sites in the past
* Based in proximity to Galway city or looking to relocate* Keen to take on a role in the next 4 weeks maximum
* Full EU Driving License
* Own vehicle preferred
* Very strong interpersonal skills
* Excellent documentation skills
* Keen to work in a collaborative environment
This role will include;* Preparation of Method Statement
* Development of Safety Statement
* On site audit
* Induction for new staff
* Collaboration with site management and senior management team
* Preparation of reports
* Incident documentation
* Tool box talks* Hold White board meetings
