Senior Planner - Developer (Retail, Leisure, Commercial) - London & Surrounding Counties
£80,000 - £105,000 plus benefits
Fancy a new challenge with a bit of a difference? We currently have a "client-side" opportunity for a Senior Planner to work with aDeveloper in the retail, commercial and leisure markets, essentially to be the "planning function" for the business. Challengingenough?! Read on……
Our client is a successful Developer that operates within the retail, leisure and commercial markets. Although they have had previous projects across the UK, 90% of their schemes fall in and around the London, Surrey and Sussex areas. Previously, they have gained their planning services from external consulting firms but are now looking to directly employ a Senior Planner within their organisation.
Reporting directly into the Board, you will be solely responsible forthe planning function within the business. Involved at both preconstruction and live phases, your role will involve working closely with the design and commercial teams in creating detailed master programmes, monitoring and updating progress, engaging andreviewing progress of contractors & subcontractors, progress reporting to senior stakeholders and essentially being the "go-to planning expert" within the organisation. In theory, this role could suit an individual from either a main contractor or consulting background provided that you feel comfortable with this level of autonomy and responsibility.
Our client is seeking the following:
* Significant planning experience within the UK construction market (at least 10 years).
* Major project experience.
* Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders as this role will report into the Board.
* Capable of working underminimal supervision - you will be the planning team!
* Relevant construction/engineering degrees would be an advantage.
* Familiar with relevant planning software (Asta Powerproject and Primvera P6).
* Eligible to work in the UK.
In return, our client is offering a basic salary of between £80,000 to £105,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits dependent upon level of experience.
