Join my client as aTown Planning Consultant / Officer / Urban Planner (DM) and you'll help to shape the future of planning. You'll be part of a large, friendly team with an outstanding track record in development management, planning policy and consultancy services. We have five planning hubs across the country; London Borough of Barnet (our joint venture known as Re), Norwich, Manchester, Newcastle and Belfast and we support flexible, home working (England) . What you'll be doing:
* processing mainly 'minors and others' planning applications concisely, accurately and in a timely manner
* preparing and presenting evidenceon appeal for clients
* negotiating with applicants and agents to obtain a high quality outcome
* positively supporting andsharing your knowledge with your team
* getting involved with service improvements to make your team as effective and efficient as possible
* providing high quality advice to your clients and the public.
What we're looking for:
* membershipof the Royal Town Planning Institute
* relevant experience in a previous position and experience working as a private or public sector planning officer or consultant
* the ability to manage your own time and meet challenging deadlines
* excellent knowledge, understanding and application of current and emerging planning legislation
* the ability to get to remote building/construction
