LEAD LINUX SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR / TEAM LEADER
FARRINGDON, LONDON
UP TO £50K PER ANNUM + PROGRESSION + BENEFITS + TRAINING
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are exclusively recruiting for a global organisation who is recognised as an expert in theirfield. Due to significant growth, they are now expanding the global support team which has led to the requirement for a new UK operations centre which is to be located in Farringdon, London.
They are now looking to recruit an experienced Lead Linux Systems Administrator/Team Leader with strong hands on Linux experience including Bash & Linux Networking skills. The successful candidate will be tasked with recruiting a team of Linux Administrators who will act as a support service to their European customer base.
The London operation is due open in November 2019, this presents an exciting opportunity for a career driven individual who has both leadership qualities and the technical expertise to be able to handle complex 3rd line/Final line support issues confidently.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for a team of experienced Linux Systems Administrators and being the go to person for all Level 3 support issue
* Overseeing the day-to-day technical support, responding to user queries and liaising with clients throughout Europe
* Investigating, troubleshooting and tracking issues of IoT platform
* Managementresponsibilities including hiring your own team, performance management, and other managerial duties
* Providing feedback onthe development, feature requests, deployment processes and technology improvements
* Monitoring the quality and efficiency ofthe service
* Preparing reports, documentation and designing internal processes
* This role will include a range of internal team liaison, as well as operations and administration duties
THE PERSON:
* A Highly experienced Linux Systems Administrator with experience of Bash & Linux Networking and additionally has team leadership / people management experience.
* Experience of SQL Databases with the ability of writing basic DB queries
* Previous experience with L3 technical support including leadership responsibility - proven team management experience
* Understanding customer requirements and translate them intoa technical reality
* Self-motivated, with attention to details proactive can-do attitude
* Ability to quickly identify problems and engage processes to minimise impact
* Excellent communication, inter-personal, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
* Flexible in terms of accepting the short-term travelling abroad
* Knowledge of Spanish language would be highly beneficial
