Network & Server Support Engineer - Birmingham - c£37k + package (Car or Car allowance, pension etc)My client is looking for a solid 3rd line support engineer with a strong networking and server background. My client works alot on IT infrastructure migrations - moving customers from onprem into hybrid Cloud and Microsoft Azure. You will be working on upgrading projects from MS exchange 2008-2012 into 2016 on wards, upgrading physical network infrastructure from Cisco routersto virtual routers and upgrading the operations systems.
Working from my customers site commutable to and from Dudley,Oldbury, West Bromwich and Birmingham you will be providing remote support and there will be some travel to customer sites. Sitevisits are typically when the upgrade / migration needs a "physical" presence on site - probably 2-3 times a month. Skills wiseyou will need experience in the following;
* Previously or currently worked for a MSP / IT Managed Services business* 3rd line support across networking (Cisco, virtual routers and firewalls) and server support (Upgrading customers from Windows 2008 or 2012 to 2016
* Upgrade and migrate email services from Microsoft Exchange to O365 / similar technologies
* Self-motivated and able to work against SLA's / customer KPI's
