Description:
IO Associates arehelping an international organisation in the Midlands recruit a Network Manager. The successful candidate will be in charge ofmanagement responsibilities for the operation and administration of the company's data networks, load balancing and firewall infrastructure.

Role: Network Manager
Salary: £50,000 + 5k Car + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Solihull
This rolecovers continuity management including backups, incident management, problem management, release management, change management,availability management, vendor & supplier management.
Responsibilities
·Smooth operation of company networks
·Continually monitor network for performance in line with agreed SLA
·Manage supplier relationships to optimise billing and ensure service provision leverages the most cost effective technologies and providers.
·Focus on continual improvement of networks and overall IT effectiveness
·Network externally to bring in new ideas and keep up to date with best in class
·Design and implement short and long term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements
·Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans relating to networks.
·Participate in the development of IT strategiesin collaboration with the Head of IT Infrastructure
·Establish and evolve service level agreements with business units
·Be responsible for the network elements of gaining and retaining new business
·Prepare bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports and other documentation for the network part of infrastructure projects and associated efforts
·Effective day to day management of the networks team
·Development and management of Capacity and Availability management processes and procedures across all network services
·Work with the IT team to establish a robust Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan
Essential Experience
·Operate across multiple projects concurrently and assume the responsibility for the appropriate technical and architectural elements.
·Three years plus successful leadership of a technical team
·Exceptional knowledge of service delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments
·Hands on experience of network troubleshooting
·Knowledge of current network protocols and standards
·Experience in interpreting the applicability of local, national and global laws/regulations and guidelines to company operations
·Ability to liaise and influence all levels of management and work with other departments & implementation of projects
·Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
