Description:
Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting a Desktop Technician commutable to Birmingham for a part time opportunity.
This requirement is for 3/4 working days per week ONLY.If you are looking to fill a gap or work on a part time basis, this may be perfect for you!
This position assists staff withtechnical support of laptop, desktop computers, applications, and related technology on Microsoft Windows Operating System.
Rate information:
* £120.00 per day via umbrella (inside IR35)
* Fixed days per week - TBC in screening call
* Duration -ongoing (monthly rolling)
The Role:
* Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems andperipherals within established standards and guidelines
* Troubleshooting and resolving software issues; reimaging computers/hard drives Backing up and restoring settings and associated systems administration activities
* Taking ownership of issues through to resolution
* Move equipment associated with escalated help desk incidents and service requests
* Performing asset inventory activities as required
* Ability to perform software installation / de-installation, well averse with Microsoft suiteof products
* Ability to do asset build, imaging, staging of assets and asset handover to the users
* This position requiresthe ability to work in a project-based environment requiring flexibility and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned.
The Candidate:
* Excellent skills in user IT infrastructure - Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Handhelds, Smartphone etc
* Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (Win 7 & Win 10) and business productivity applications i.e. Office
* Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is polite, efficient and responsive
* Ability to work on their own initiative
* To work through issues analytically and successfully
* At least 3 years of experiencein the field or in a related area required
* Prior experience on Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks and Printers
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and local language)
* Background security check required - must be able to complete successfully
