Senior PHP Developer
Our Head Office is based in Weston-s-Mare, within easy commuting distance of the Bristol area.
Our client is a well-established developer of Worksite Management Systems. They seek a PhP developer to join their growing team developing new safety-based rail worksite managements systems, working to extend and improve our various products and platforms.You will be responsible for supporting and extending the architecture of their existing systems as well as building new and improved ones. Their products are a mixture of internal and client facing applications that are constantly evolving.
Their focus at present is on abstracting away layers of business logic and turning internally consumed systems in to products usable bymultiple external clients. Some elements of the platform require fundamental changes, so solutions architecture and strong Database Modelling skills will be advantageous.
Developer roles are multi-skilled, so you will need a thorough grounding inall aspects of application development from backend database planning through to the front end UIs. All wrapped up with some good techniques for managing your own projects.
Skills and experience. PHP Developer will posses:
* Strong knowledge of PHPframeworks
* A good Understanding of MVC designs, and front-end technologies - JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, etc.
* A strong knowledge of object oriented PHP and a good understanding of the design principles behind a scalable application
* Knowledge of user authentication and authorisation models
* Experience creating database schemas
* Familiarity with MySQL and its query tools
* Experience with abstracting and refactoring complex systems
* Proficient understanding of code versioning tools - Git, etc.
