Principal Data Engineer
Location: Brighton
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + bonus scheme, 25 days holiday, 10% pension scheme, private medical cover, Regular team socials and much more!

My client, an establishedsoftware house based in Brighton, is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Platform Lead to join them on a permanent basis.
As the Data Specialist, you will lead the DevOps and SecOps teams tasked with designing, implementing and managing cloud infrastructure to ingest, process and adjust data that serve the needs of other departments.
You will work alongside the Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Bigdata Application Developers - ensuring high security standards, implementing logging and monitoring, and lead the multi-level testing of the platform.
What you will need:
* Hands-on expertise in developing and maintaining IaC in a cloud estate built with AWS Services, Terraform, Git, Jenkins and Ansible.
* Expertise in building challenging CI/CD pipelines for automating complex data applications in a big data analytics environment
* Extensive industry experience in building dynamic cloud solutions
* Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to technical and non-technicalaudiences
