Description:
My client are a prestigious government organisation. They're seeking an SCCleared Portfolio Strategy and Engagement Lead on an initial 6 month contract.
Reporting to the Head of Planning and Portfolio Management, you will work alongside the Team Strategy and Engagement lead (tbc) to drive forward the implementation of the newteam strategy. You will be responsible for developing and co-ordinating a strategic stakeholder engagement plan that considersplanned outputs from the team over the next 12 months and provides key stakeholders with early insight and the opportunity to input. Consultations need to be carefully planned for optimal impact, with multiple strands of work and outputs.
Person SummaryYou will:
* Have significant experience of project, programme and portfolio management in a government setting, and of adapting best practice to various complex situations.
* An ability to clearly articulate to a wide variety of stakeholders the benefits and requirements for portfolio management.
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven recordof establishing, building, and maintaining strong, collaborative and productive relationships.
* Have strong leadership skills with experience of managing stakeholders and teams with different technical interests.
* Are expert in effectively managingrelationships with senior stakeholders, producing clear advice and influence on complex issues.
Relevant Qualifications Skills and Experience:
Qualifications
* Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) and relevant experience.
Experience
* A proven track record of project, programme and portfolio management in a variety of settings including UK Government.
* Demonstrable experience of working effectively with a range of stakeholders including third party suppliers to deliver valued outcomes.
