Security Analyst - Cyber Security - London - £50,000 + Package
Concept IT are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join asecurity operation centre for an expanding IT services company based in London
As a member of the wider security team you willhelp maintain the confidentiality, availability and integrity of information and information systems.
As a Security Specialistthe main responsibilities will involve:
* Audit and analyse group and customer systems, report on recommendations based on best practices and compliance standards.
* Carry out and review vulnerability assessments, document and liaise with relevant team members/3rd parties to aid in remediation.
* Review pen test assessments, document and liaise with relevant team members/3rd parties to aid in remediation.
* Research, test and document defence techniques, feedback into the audit loop.
* Research,test and document attack techniques, feedback to the team and aid the SOC in building detections for the new IOCs.
* Act as apoint of escalation for incidents the SOC may need assistance/guidance on
* Keep abreast of emerging trends, threats, techniques and technology, bring to attention on new relevant findings to the team.
* Retain a working knowledge of related securitytechnical areas such as; application, network and host, to enable effective liaison with other technical teams
* Strong knowledge of the windows OS and domain infrastructure
* Experience in reviewing and feedback of results of vulnerability scans/pen tests
* Experience analysing/troubleshooting through windows event logs
* A passion for security, research and personal development in a rapidly evolving environment
As Senior Security Specialist your skills and qualifications will ideally include:* Networking technologies
* Basic programming such as: Python, SQL, Powershell
* Experience in security incidents andIncident Response
* Experience in using threat intelligence systems and services
* Industry based qualifications, eg Microsoft/CompTIA/EC-Council
* Experience in MS 365
* Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
* Interest in ethical hacking and pen testing
