IT Engineer - Birmingham - £32,000 - £37,000 + Nissan Qashqai
A great opportunity for a 2nd/3rd line technical support engineer to work for a leading MSP in the West Midlands.
We are currently looking for a technically strong and socially confident permanent technical support engineer to join a large IT MSP.
The ideal candidate for this position will have5+ Year's experience working for an MSP. Strong networking skills and experience of Firewalls/Routing/Switching is required.The Role;
To provide support to, Managed service projects, third line support, Internal Infrastructure, Field engineering you will be responsible for supporting Service delivery to customers in the drive for provision of Great Service as well as support of 3rd line Technical engineers. You will be responsible for the implementation of solutions and projects and to support the internal infrastructure.
Technical Requirements - Must haves
* 5 years support experience with an MSP environment.
* Strong Networking skills including core concepts for Wired and Wireless Firewalls/switching/routing, and VPN
* Strong Windows server skills including windows 2012 and 2016
* Ability to design and specify new Customer infrastructure solutions
* Understanding of server & storage system Hardware architecture including NAS, SAN and RAID systems
* Understanding of Backup and DRtechnology
* Understanding of deployment and Imaging processes
Desirable Requirements
* Linux/Mac Skills
* Netapp skills
* Ability to support and Mentor other staff
* Understanding of Print solutions
