CUSTOMS CLEARANCE CLERK (IMPORT AND EXPORT)

UP TO £23,000 PLUS BENEFITS
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We've been exclusively appointed tofind an experienced Customs Clearance Clerk for a specialist Customs Clearance Agent in Dover.
The successful candidate will be working with the existing operations staff, liaising with clients, drivers etc. must be confident dealing with people at all levels and have a good telephone manner.
Capable of completing export and import declarations for freight clearance throughHMRC requirements.
Apply and interpret rules for Traders and advise requirements or best practice to prepare and present declarations to move consignments through customs procedures at frontiers
You must be experienced within this role, organised, with excellent communication and planning skills. You will be expected to work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to problems
THE CANDIDATE:
* Knowledge of customs clearance procedures essential min.2 years
* Good organisational, IT and communication skills.
* Excellent planning skills and ability to co-ordinate own work load.
* Be aware of Health and Safety standards, along with a high understanding of dignity and diversity in the workplace.
* Have a methodical and organised approach to work with the ability to think ahead and prioritise tasks.
* The successful applicant will ideally be ableto quickly respond effectively to changing demands and be able to apply good problem-solving skills
* Experience as Customs Clearance Clerk, Import Clerk, Export Clerk, Freight Forwarding.
