My client is an extremely successful tour operator who are certainly goingfrom strength to strength, making a name for themselves out there in the travel industry worldwide for their rapid growth and achievements so far. I am currently recruiting for a Commercial Analyst for their head office in the Swindon area, this role is afundamental part of the business strategy and the ideal candidate will provide commercial insight into future opportunities andrisks and will analyse data to recommend daily decisions in order to increase profitability and volume of the business.
THEJOB:
*Support monthly P&L forecast targets within agreed timeframe.
*Build monthly Marketing plans.
oBased on ROI and Product Focus
oBusiness needs - Suppliers
*Analyse daily trading against KPI plans and make adjustments to marketing plans as necessary.
oMaximise ROI by product is achieving KPI or above
oMaximise ROI by marketing source are achieving KPI or above
*Review product performance and yield products to ensure maximum returns
*Track performance of all yielding decisions
*Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams in order to deliver the monthly sales P&L and retention plan
*Flag any issues in delivering the monthly sales P&L and retention numbers
*Give clear feedback to the Commercial Manager & Global Head of Trading on commercial business performance and provide solutions to issues where possible
*Participate in weekly and monthly tradingmeetings with Global Heads and Directors
*General analytical tasks
THE CANDIDATE:
*Strong Analytical skills and the ability to turn data into information for decision making
*Advanced skill base in Excel essential including pivot tables.
*Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver under pressure
*Self-driven, with a positive outlook, and a clearfocus on high quality
*Proven numerical and analytical skills
*Excellent communicator and team player
*A passion for the travel industry a real advantage
*Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
*A quick thinker with a commercial outlook.
*Articulate with a resilient attitude and able to explain business decisions
*Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
*Previous pricing and yield management experience preferred (not essential)
*Accounting experience would be beneficialbut not essential.
THE PACKAGE:
