Description:

Do you have pperational experience within a tour operating business, particularly in health, safety, operations or crisis management?

A well-known Travel brand, who are based in heartbeat of London are looking for a Destination Executive (Health, Safety, Crisis and Operations) on an initial 9-month contract, to join their very busy communications team.

Purpose of Role:

Atemporary role, to provide day to day support to the Senior Destinations Manager, to ensure that the activities in relation tohealth, safety, operations and crisis management for the company, its Members and the sub-committees are carried out effectively.

Duties:

Destinations
*Preparation of Destination Service Bulletins and other related notifications to keep Members informed of key health, safety, operational matters or crisis events.
*Respond to routine health, safety and operational enquiries raised by Members and stakeholders contacting the office, with direction from senior members of the team.
*Escalation of non-routine health, safety and operational enquiries raised by Members and others.
*Referring non destination related enquiries tothe appropriate individuals or departments within the organisation for resolution.
*Communication with consultants, suppliersand other stakeholders on behalf of Members regarding health, safety and operational related matters with direction from seniormembers of the team.
*Monitor health & safety related communication portals to stay abreast of key health & safety matters which may affect the travel industry and escalate to the Destinations team as appropriate.
*Production of health & safety related literature to assist Members.
*Work with senior members of the team to coordinate UK and overseas seminars and training, including itinerary production, delegate lists travel arrangements and conference requirements.
*Coordination of Memberand supplier meetings, seminars and presentations.

General
*General administrative duties, including meeting and diary management.
*Making travel and other logistical arrangements for destinations visits.
*Circulation and file management of Membersafety, operational and crisis related notifications.
*Review and consolidation of safety related information; provide requiredupdates to the Senior Destinations Manager.
*Support the Senior Destinations Executive in recording of incidents reported by Members and production of destination statistics.
*Carrying out other tasks that may be reasonably necessary to support the Destination Services Team.
*Supporting the Senior Destinations Executive in delivering the smooth running of the FTO Health and Safety committee and Operations committee meetings, and Forum meetings and additional sub-groups as required, including preparationof agendas and supporting papers, attending meetings, taking and producing timely minutes.


Key Skills and Experience:
*Good inter-personal and communication skills.
*Ability and willingness to work flexibly, under pressure and to deadlines.
*Ability to work on own initiative, handling sensitive information with discretion.
*Excellent typing, grammar and analytical skills.*Ability to organise meetings and take minutes.
*Good knowledge and competence in all aspects of Microsoft Office suite, useof the internet and social media.
*Operational experience within a tour operating business, particularly in health, safety, operations or crisis management would be beneficial.

Salary:

This role is paying a basic salary of £28,000 and will be an initial 9 month contract, with the possibility to be extended.
