I am currently recruiting for a Flight Sales Consultant for a North East Hampshire based specialist tour operator, this role plays an integral part of the Flights Sales Team. This team provides flight support to various teams within the company and direct clients meaning that is a role that will have plenty of variety and an opportunity to develop fares and GDS knowledge. THE JOB:
*Managing PNRs within the GDS including queue management and ticketing
*Support the Sales team with complex flight requirements
*Assisting other Explore teams with flight queries either in person, through messaging, tasks or e mail
*Liaising with customers regarding flight queries
*Making air reservations in the GDS
*Tour cancellations
*Developing GDS training for flights and salesteam
*Developing airline training for sales staff and liaising with airline representatives to arrange in-house training
*Making low cost carrier reservations
*Handling various administration tasks
*The is initially a maternity cover contract which could lead to a more permanent position
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Capableof multi-tasking through effective planning, prioritising and organising of workload.
*Have a focus on accuracy and quality and a good attention to detail.
*2 years GDS experience (Sabre, Amadeus & Galileo)
*Have a good understanding of publishedand net fares including fare rules
*Have analytical skills with the ability to effectively problem solve
*Proven excellence in administration roles
*Intermediate knowledge of excel and word
THE PACKAGE:
The basic salary on offer for this new maternity cover contract Flight Sales Consultant role is circa £24000 plus you can also expect some great company and travel industrybenefits. The hours of this role are predominantly Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays and you will be working 9am - 5.30pm.
