My client is looking to recruit an experienced Manager to join theirProduct & Purchasing team, taking ownership of a defined geographical region, you will be responsible for delivering the Product & Purchasing strategy for your destination areas. Your role as Product & Purchasing Manager involves working anddeveloping relationships with hotels and DMC's, negotiating rates and terms to strengthen commercial agreements and also customer benefits. To be a successful Product & Purchasing Manager for this prestigious brand you will be hands-on, positive with acan-do attitude and strong negation skills
THE job:
*Negotiating and contracting rates, special offers, allocations, release periods, overrides, brochure contributions, marketing funds, terms and conditions, service level agreements with hotels andDMC's, in the UK, at Trade shows and overseas as required
*Securing targeted rates and offers for late bookings
*Maximisingkey commercial relationships to drive exclusivity and profitability
*Negotiating marketing contributions with Tourist Boardsand Government departments to actively promote your destination areas
*Loading and managing contracts in the relevant system,adhering to the required processes for signature and storage
*Analysing weekly product/sales reports to identify market trendsand revenue/room nights sales growth opportunities
*Analysing and maximising opportunities for potential new destinations andproduct innovation/development
*Actively raising issues and highlighting any commercial threats or liabilities to the SeniorProduct & Purchasing Manager
*Ensuring regular tracking of commercial overrides in order to achieve agreed targets
*Delivering monthly KPI's
*Working closely with the Trading and Air Product teams to ensure sales and margin opportunities are maximised
*Tracking and analysing key competitor activity in the UK and other source markets
*Directing and supporting the Marketing team with brochure paginations, product content and programme launches
*Collaborating on marketing campaigns and activityto maximise commercial agreements and contribution
*Proactively sharing product knowledge with Marketing, PR and Training teams*Assisting and supporting Operation/Finance teams in resolving complaints and administrative issues with suppliers
*Managing,coaching and supporting one direct report within the team
*Ensuring that performance management reviews are carried out twiceper year for your direct report
*Collaborating and demonstrating flexibility, supporting colleagues as and when required Processes and Procedures
*Ensuring deadlines are met at all times
*Knowing, understanding and complying with the Purchasing and Policy procedures
THE CANDIDATE:

*Ability to travel overseas as and when required by the Company
THE PACKAGE:
The successful candidate can expect an excellent starting salary which is in the region of£35000 upwards and also my client really do offer some amazing company benefits!
