I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager tojoin a well-established Tour Operator based in the heart of London.
Purpose of role:
To create, launch and manage a rangeof product which showcases the company brand values, quality, customer service and reliability. To manage commercial relationships with overseas suppliers, taking complete responsibility for the internal and external delivery of your product area
KeyResponsibilities:
*Negotiate and implement commercial agreements with overseas suppliers and ensure that the contracts are delivered in a timely manner
*Clear communication of contracts and product range to all departments
*Brochure production: Working with the team to complete brochure deadlines
*Responsible for the content you will ensure that all brochure text complieswith the company style and check the accuracy of the content
*Maintain all relevant information to your product areas in the booking system
*Adhere to Health and Safety requirements
*Follow agreed brochure guidelines/format
*Work with the Head of Product in the planning of forward business
*Actively seek new product opportunities
*To take accountability for revenue growth, quality and gross margin of your portfolio.
*Regularly review product to ensure it still fits within the current strategy*Analyse sales on a weekly basis and set plans accordingly
*Analyse information from feedback forms (Customers, Tour Managerand Agents) and be pro-active in actioning improvements which will benefit the business and our customers To establish regularcommunication with sales staff and other teams - to keep everyone up to date and ensure that any relevant issues are swiftly acted upon
*Support the sales teams with insight, training and speedy responses to maximise bookings
*To ensure office coveragefor your product area during times of travel including monitoring and administration of e-mails
*Plan and carry out Product planning trips and file reports accordingly
*Liaising with suppliers to organise FAM's, journalist visits and staff presentations
Role Requirements:
*Minimum 2 years' experience in a Product Manager position
*Negotiation of contract or commercialagreements with hotels or other travel related service providers
*Knowledge of destinations and travel trends
*Confident use of airline GDS, Word, Excel, Adobe InCopy
*Excellent written communication skills
*Numerate with good data entry skills, ahigh level of accuracy and attention to detail

*Proven ability to negotiate significant and successful long term contracts with suppliers
*Can demonstrate achievements in meeting tough deadlines
*Analytical skills;identifying major issues affecting profitability, revenue, and opportunities that are followed upon by swift and successful action
*Resourceful and practical with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
*Demonstrate a positive attitude to all staff, offering assistance as necessary
*Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
*Knowledge of other languages is preferable
*Well-travelled in countries relevant to our programmes
Package:
Full time, permanent
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
