TEAM MANAGER - BUSINESS TRAVEL - TRAVEL INDUSTRY
MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE
UP TO £24,000 BASIC + UNCAPPED BONUS + LUCRATIVE BENEFITS + PROGRESSION
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Due to growth of the business I am currently recruiting for my client based in Manchester for a Team Manager within Business Travel to join them on a full time, permanent basis.
The Team Manager will provide strong motivational leadership to the team; contributing to the growth and development of the business. They will be accountable for the complete performance management cycle of the team and will takea proactive stance on talent management in their team, cultivating high performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Providing a positive experience for all clients.
* Proactively seek to build the relationship, ensuring regular contact with clients.
* Managing any escalated queries from the team with a view to providing high quality customer service always.
* Liaise with the relevant member of the sales team to provide enhanced customer service, aid rapport building, as well as being actively involved intender presentations.
* Handling of all pre-departure complaints and queries for clients. Problem-solving effectively and offering relevant solutions.
* Attend as a guest at client seminars to promote excellent customer relations.
* Ensure that allteam client profiles and data bases are kept up to date
* Provide guidance on airline contracts and fares expertise for the team.
* Coach team in Product knowledge.
* Conduct regular call monitoring and booking checks for the team to measure customerservice levels and ensure all Service Level Standards are maintained.
* Ensure Client and team SLA's are met.
* Positivelyand constructively manage the team to make it a success.
* Ensure company policy is adhered to by all members of the team.
*Engage the team through successful organisation of quarterly team meetings and the team social.
* Co-ordinate and distributeworkload fairly within the team allocating time on and off calls.
* Make new members of team feel welcome and devise their personal development plan.
* Respond to and update holiday requests and managed absence accordingly.
* Conduct disciplinary meetings where required and respond to grievances raised.
* Lead by example to make a positive difference to clients and the team.
* Carry out monthly one-to-ones to review performance and provide coaching opportunities for team members.
* Conduct Annual and Mid-Year performance reviews every 6 and 12 months.
* Ensure that all team members are on an effective personal development plan with SMART objectives.
THE PERSON:
* 6 months experience in a Team Manager position or
* 1 years' experience as an Assistant Team Manager
* Minimum of 1-year customer service and sales experience in Business Travel Reservations.
* Minimum 5 grade C GCSE's including English and Maths.
* Good level of computer literacy.
* Proven record of managing a team.* Experience with Amadeus
* Knowledge of the wider travel industry.
* Relevant customer service NVQ's and qualifications.* Supervisory qualifications.
